Francis Bacon: Triptych sells for $17.4 million at Sotheby's

Yes, an old article from June 2013 in the Wall Street Journal, but it has some great information about the state of the art market. This triptych done by Francis Bacon sold for a whopping $17.4 million while other pieces by Jean-Michel Basquiat and Andy Warhol sold for much less then expected.
